Maverick Man Carbon is is proud to carry the Newest and most effective OBD port locking tool. The OBD2 Sentinel by Lock-Out is tool is made from billet 6061-T6 aluminum, and is designed to completely lock out your OBD port from being accessed. Now in Steath Black with no markings to make it harder for thieves to see it.

These Sentinel locks are precisely engineered to prevent interference with the delicate prongs inside your OBD port avoiding the risk of prong damage or costly ECU issues seen with other solutions.  Unlike other locks that merely sit over the port and only lock in by the lower tab, the Sentinel lock additionally and firmly engages the OBD port with superior security. Built from solid billet, it far surpasses flimsy alternatives with some made of plastic and vulnerable to being pried off.

NOTE: As of 7/9/25 all Locks will be set for popular GM OBD2 Units for the (Chevy SS, PPV, G8 and Cadillacs) with an exact size screw length so it does not interfer with the prongs in your OBD2.

Tested and proven to be the best on the market, these locks are compatible with all late-model GM listed in your ordering options and most vehicles from 2008 onward. Note: While they may fit certain GM models prior to 2008, we have not confirmed compatibility. If your vehicle is a 2007 or older, purchase at your discretion.

Lock your OBD port when taking a car in for service to avoid duplicate keys being made, and ECU programming or overwriting. Anytime the vehicle is out of your hands this protects you from key cloning via the OBD port However because of the high theft on LS powered vehicles using key cloning devises is also perfect for anti-theft prevention! This port locking tool will not allow a would-be thief to hook up to the car’s OBD port to duplicate a key.  The OBD-LOCK cannot be removed without physically destroying the OBD port if you do not have the proper tools.

The OBD2 Sentinel Lock-Out head design has a unique head for the screws as well as a a flange on the screws to prevent over torquing each screw.

Each kit consists of the following:

Two-Part Billet OBD Port Lock
Two Lock-Out proprietary Anti Tamper Screws
One Lock-Out Socket to remove Anti Tamper Screws

Pontiac GTO: Will NOT fit without modifications to the outside of actual OEM OBD2 port. since the shape of it is a tad different them most GM ports.

NOTE: Before installation, we strongly recommend assembling the unit off the vehicle first. This allows you to observe how the screws align and enter the unit smoothly. When it's time to install on the vehicle, you’ll have a clear feel for proper alignment and avoid stripping the outer portion of the lock.

INSTALL:  Begin by placing the inner portion of the unit over the OBD2 port, ensuring that the bottom edge of the inner lock properly aligns with the tab located at the base of the OBD2 connector. Next, carefully fit the outer shell over the inner component (expect a snug fit during this step). Using the provided socket key along with an 8mm socket or wrench, secure the screws. Important: Avoid overtightening the screws to prevent damage to the unit or the OBD2 connector.

⚠️ Important: If screws are inserted at an angle, they will strip the lock’s outer shell and make removal nearly impossible once installed. If the screws don’t feel like they’re threading in easily, stop immediately!  They should go almost as smoothly as they did during the off-vehicle test fit.

We will NOT replace stripped screws or units. Any damage caused by stripping is the responsibility of the installer and has nothing to do with the product.  Remember ensure the screws are inserted straight.

Proven Protection ✅ This is one of a few customers that installed this lock on their Chevy SS. Despite a break-in through the sunroof, the thief couldn't touch the car—thanks to the OBD2 lock.

Here is another whom wrote to us stating the locked help his car from not getting stolen.

The thieves tired to take the lock off but to no avail.

You can tell they tried prying it off, then gave up and walked away. Sometimes all it takes is holding them off just a bit longer.

(NOTE this is one of the older versions of this lock in the photo but new ones will work even better!)

Be smart like these customers whom still have their cars!  Get your lock before they get yours!
